Warsawa: Week of,

I love Warsaw. Ok so I came back (hey Cammy!) I decided to book into okidoki hostel to do the whole 'suprise' shebang but I was informed at around 9pm that she had moved to a flat 2 days previous! xD hard luck aye :p

Omg, I got trapped by passport control in Warsaw for all of 5 minutes but I got a little nervous :p I had put my passport in my backpack to put in the overhead lockers (make sure I didn't lose it right?) well, what I didn't take into account was when I got to the plane was there wasn't enough space so they took it, put a luggage thing it, I asked the guy, 'will I need my passport before I can get my bag?' and he said 'no, just your boarding pass' LIES! so when I arrived in Warsaw I couldn't get pass without a passport, luckily the security escorted my to my bag, and I got my passport to go there, apart from a few suspicious queries, I was allowed through but tip: keep your passport on you all the time xD I don't care how obvious that is, correct advise always is.

Ok, so the next night I went to the riverside with Cammy and watched a documentary about Mike Tyson starring Mary J Blige. So weird. Got to drink ginger syrup again! Got a few blisters, made a few memories :p I had an awful wake up call though. I heard choking, then falling, then sick. The guy had started being sick in his sleep, all over himself, the floor, basically, anywhere but the toilet, he ended up falling over and sleeping on the bathroom floor. You know what the worst part was? he wasn't even a member of the hostel, his mate had snuck him in. They were asked to leave pretty quick but ah man, was so horrible xD

Oh I also went to breakfast with a few new mates from the hostel, pancakes with sour cream? totally a thing :p we went to the science museum, it's like a giant busy techniquest :p I accidentally spent ages trying to solve a puzzle with someone's Nan xD I'm not sure she realised I didn't speak Polish but I had fun.

Ohhh also Kareoke happened and it was so much fun! and we also made Perogi, which took three hours but was an epic group effort, it also made an epic mess! Oh and Cammy had a house warming party, we made Camcards! awesome game :p danced, made bloodberry brownies - sspecial recipe ;) and drank apple pie cocktails :p and then Marisha dedicated Hey Jude to me :D so much dancing! And strangely enough, British club music on the riverside :] Anyway I had a lot of fun and I totally want to come back to Warsaw! :] Flying to Thailand today! (hence the busy blog :p) Wish me luck, and ciao for now! x

Berlin: Fly away home!

Sorry about the super delay here xD you know what I'm like,
So on my last day-ish (I've forgotten a  lot unfortunately :/) I was looking for the Thai Embassy, because there are LOADS in Berlin, so visa lookers, this is the place to be. I got a little lost on the way and this lovely lady who was in her late 70's who I asked for directions off of, walked me to the embassy because it was on her way home :) she saw Bob Marley live and was a big fan of the Poland equivelant of woodstock xD super cool!

Oh, I also got some passport photos done for the visa, and for ages there was no photos, I panicked because it was my last 6 Euros but thankfully, it was just stuck inside the printer and I pulled it out, so top tip, check! just keep checking!

So yes, I realised that after the first week, with my mum, Berlin became, grey. Every time I past a certain place I just remembered the things my mum said or fun/mishaps we had. I was going to Thailand in a few weeks but I needed to go home first. Chris said it was a good idea so it was a good idea and a few days later I went home. IT WAS AMAZING! I went clubbing with Tom, did pizza AND Chinese with Robyn, Sims exploded and marvel was appreciated :] God to see the new kitchen, well done mum, she proper looked after me, I got fed to the brim by Nan and Grampy and Ceri recharged my mental socket. Chris took me to an epic BBQ and car tetras. Tire met face and van huddles. Yeah it was epic being it home :] Off to Warsaw I go, it's gonna be awesome!

Ciao for now x

Berlin: Tidbits....

Omg I can't believe i forgot these gems! When me and mum were on the tour bus passing the embassy arena (litteraly one for every country all on one strip, so beautiful though) when we passed an epic park the tour guide showed us a local phenomenon, the local park of nudists, i know, nudists! Dw we look pics xD we're awful :p but hey rebellion against the comunists hasn't looked cooler :p

Also yesterday a helicopter had to emergancy land infront of my hostel! It wasnt even a field, it was just some grass next to a road, some tricky manuvering that was xD

And last but not least, i was sitting down outside the hostel (on the floor, i know its dirty nan but I'm traveling) when a man walking his adorable chiwauwa went by, the dog sniffed me, then climbed on me, licked my face and laid down on my lap xD the owner remarked on our quick friendship and it took some time to sweet talk the dog away xD it totally made my day! Anyway, ciao for now x

Berlin: MUM! (buses and roundabouts)

Ok so i super missed my mum, i was so excited i arrived an hour early and made her a sign :p we got lost on the way back because i thought she'd booked at a different hostel xD motel one not ku'damm 101, oops, but we got there, were staying in the centre next to the zoo. The place was super nice (no kettle though - however i found out hot water was free, ii also asked for milk, and a spoon, and carried it in the lift, so cheeky) and was busy because that weekend was a football match xD bad timing that.

We took a tour bus and had a really strange tourguide that kept singing anthems, so creepy xD so we popped off to see the Brandenburg gate (full of football fans xD) and we tried dunken doughnuts for the first time. Omg it was super sweet! Even the cream :p wouldnt recommend it for breakfast, and then we had a brilliant tour guide who had lots of tips (like how to see in the museum for free) and even how to see an orchestra for free which im gonna do next week :) we then went to checkpoint charlie which was really facinating! (Orange juice was consumed) then had all you can eat Thai/Vietnamese xD so delicious. Also i totally beat mum at cards today :p

Oh third day we went to the hackner markt which was full of artsy designs like a vinyl handbag :) more orange juice! And currywurst and pizza xD then we went to the DDR museum which was on the river underground, it was an interactive museum to understand life on the east side of the wall. Mum beat me at cards today xD by 16... shes cheating i think :p also guess what, today we booked tickets to go to Thailand! I can't believe im going to thailand, omg! Im going backpacking from bangkok to Vietnam to Singapore xD i got my first hostel booked (its £3 a night! In the city! Wow. Better research some Thai then xD

Oh the next day me and mum played cards on a round about, and had pizza and cocktails xD i didnt want the next day to come.

So the day mum was going home :( we played cards, mum thrashed me xD shes just too good. Said our goodbyes. I felt miserable after xD i think i was spoiled, may have cried a bit, butbi had a dream i went home last night realised im not ready to come home but I'll super miss my mum :( but it was awesome having her in Berlin, super awesome! I hope the kitchen and bathroom get done soon xD and went im back ill cook white chocolate and rassberry cheese cake :) and christmas dinner! It'll be beautiful.

To Mum: I love you and miss you and your shocking moments and patience and the way you help me put on my bag xD

To Darren: Have fun on the balloon ride, look after mum and your self! Also, cat? XD

To Christopher: skype me you lazy sod xD

To Naomi: be patient and happy :) I'll see you at Christmas and hopefully skype xD say hi to hannah if you see her

To Ceri: come over mums so we can skype too xD congratulations and send me loads of pictures of you in your cap and gown :)

To Nan: I love you! You don't have to worry :) i got those tubes down! Can't wait to next speak to you on skype, i miss your poached eggs on toast xD also stop teaching mum your tricks with cards!

To Grampy: Be good for Nan! And don't look at the internet too deeply! Its full of horrors xD totally try and convince Darren to get a cat xD

So yeah, ciao for now x

Berlin: So far (omg!)

Ok so I've kept mum about it xD so punny :p you know how i recieved amazing news but didnt want to jinx it? Well, keep that in mind :p

Arrived in Berlin which is beautiful and full of Vietnamese and Thai food (that was my main go to food in Leipzig - super authentic too) I met these two amazing girls from Australia who stuffed my full of indian doughnuts and candied grapes xD jack the ripper, eat your heart out xD

We went to a turkish market where every other person was sporting dreadlocks :p there was even a guitar performance next to an Egyptian tea stand xD oh and freshly squeezed orange juice is a thing here, there is some weird victorian style presses that are the most popular. Then we popped to checkpoint charlie which was a section of the wall that was eventually commandeered by the Americans but I didn't read it because i was saving it xD that night we went to a pub and we all had to pay a euro extra to thr dj! Apparently thats common in germany so be carefull when you're copper watching. Also a guy lost a pair of blue shoes, it was a strange hostel :) but the best part was the next day because i went to the airport. Because my mum was coming to Berlin! Thats right xD we both may have blubbered on each other xD we're such saps :) Next ill tell you of our adventure so ciao for now!

Leipzig: Overall (Due to business on my part)

Hey! I've decided to change my style so I'll now be posting in overall chunks with a few events instead of everyday xD hope you like it :) Ok so Leipzig was nothing like I expected. For one, it was jam packed full of goths, from victorian to cyper, i was in awe, and felt very underdressed xD i found out there is a concert especially for the darker style music held every year and the city is filled with nail varnish fumes.

I even made friends with two hard-core guys (one wore a pvc latex skirt -seriously why dont men wear skirts? They look epic) and they looked after me.an  took me clubbing three nights in a row xD they even went to a dance kind of club with me so i could dance :) it was lovely xD

Oh i met a japan- fan from greece and so much sushi was consumed :) i will never eat sushi again, well maybe onigiri but thats it! Oh an  i met this amazing girl from mexico who taught me this super awesome recipe for salsa that melts your face off and we made pork wraps, halumi, basically a delisous mezza :)

We also met this lovely couple from brazil whol helped teach me italian whilst drunk xD luminous green beer! Oh my god and my filling came out! My super painful, originally snapped open by a drill gone wild and filled with metal one. On the same day i visited the university dentist, they gave me a number, i walked there and at 21:30 after waiting maybe 10 minutes i was having my tooth filled (will last two years) for free! God i love germany! Anyway ciao for now x

Dresden: The rest (might repeat myself xD)

Hey, sorry for getting a little lax with updates but after my horrid bout of food poisening i was gifted with the flu xD so a few days of recuperation and i was good to go. I made some amazing friends and went to flower power and it was spectacular! It was basically a jam.session for random musicians :) there was guitar and bass but then this women went up with the flute and it added and whole other dimention :) i made a video so you can expect to see it soon :)

I finally got to drink in the park xD it felt like high school (free xD) and i helped hand make perogi! Ika made a lady peogi that was horrifying xD no idea who ended up eating that. It was super delicious, one was potato and garlic and the other was spinach and ricota.

Oh and i went to the body exhibition! It was grotesque and facinating :) they had wax models of humans and their body parts through multiple stages of stds and its effect on skulls, legs, babies! Apparently it used to be used to teach medical students but was also used to entertain and educate the masses in circuses. So definetly give the hygiene museum a go xD ok so then i went off to leipzip but i will toally miss the red antler hands, attic like nooks and amazing staff who made me feel super welcome! Thank you and ciao for now x

Dresden: Day 4 + 5 (who knows?)

Ok, so my first three days in the lollis hostel are much improved xD for one i do not have food poisening! Small successes :) made veggie rice with my new favourite food ever = avacado. And had a few drinks, which was only accomplished after the disaster of opening it xD broke one screw, two forks and a few cuts later, with much team work the drinking of said wine (with the cork happily floating in the bottle) and meet a few locals, was brilliant :p

Next day i went to the military museum and it was amazing, 7 hours is my new average time spent :) i totaly reccomend it though you do see some gory stuff in certain sections so beware of hidden shelves and warnings :p then we had a brilliant bbq, ended up going to little creatures pub and listening to hip hop (what has become of me xD)

Now to a few hours recovery before the flower power show and pre drinking (coffee recovery!) Will update you all on that later xD tomorrow for the hygiene museum (the name is misleading) im going to a anatomical exhabition on the human body :)

Oh i got some AMAZING news this morning but im not gonna jinx it xD keep you posted! Ciao for now x

Dresden: Day 1, 2 & 3 (booking mistakes and evil kebabs)

Ok so these posts are not going on a positive path atm but travelling is.'m not all sunshine and rainbows xD so i finally used blabla car and its great, got there, learnt how to use a tram, got to my hostel and its cool and has loads of mismatched furniture and i was instantly at home, unfortunatly i wasnt due there for a week (damn you internet) so realising all the hostels are full at 10pm is a kick in the teeth but luckily the guy was great, moved my date up to the closest time possible, sunday night. So basically i only had to fine a place to sleep for three nights, doable right? Wrong, but he was so nice that he rang all his emergancy hostels for a room, one had one for that night for €25 and free bed sheets, so i only had to worry about two and i was sorted, so one tram back and a 10 minute walk and i was good to go xD ah the messes i get myself into!

Next day: ok so i needed a hostel and fast, on booking sites online it was now €42 + €3 for sheets but due to the fact i used their computer i found if i booked fron there i coukd get the same thing but for €36 + €3 for bed sheets, every little helps xD so i had a kebab and a beer to celebrate. And in return i had food poisening... so yesterday i just tried to recover, slept for 14 hours and really wanted to be at home. But i pulled through, if i coukd climb a mountain i could do this xD so here i am, just had to book a hotel (was the cheapest thing avaliable) but im determined to carry on this journey :) i have great things to look forward too (meeting Ikra in Berlin and Cammy in Warsaw) and more workaways and museums to see, people to meet and booze to drink xD so appreciate the bad because it makes the good times better :)

So ciao for now, and continue on x

Ansbach: mothers day and the mountain of doom!

When i heard mothers day was coming up, i paniced thinking i missed the celebration with my mum (so much guilt) until i remembered it was in march and the dates are different here xD small mercies aye?

I was invited to posh meal at a golf club and drank so much beer in sun that i got quite drunk, so the sunburn came as a surpise xD oh and jen did my hair, and asked for a 60s rock hair do, however the hair dryer was on so she thought i said 80s rock xD imagine my suprise :p luckily a few hair pins later it was 90s grunge, good save hair pins, i will.never abandon you or dispear when you stab me in the feet again xD

After we went to a fair ground and i finally tried currywurst, so delicious :) my new favourite i think :) i even got to go on thr bumper cars and stuff myself with candy floss (its like my birthday all over again :)

A few days later i decided to try hike the mountain of doom, and i say doom for its cruel steepness and my twice near death experiences xD

To be continued...

Ok, i will begin this by telling you that my parents used to take my camping and hiking and lots of outdoor activities and all i used to ask was what i was beinf punished for xD i also used to projectile every camping trip, it was horrendous. But i couldnt say no to an experience like klutterstyking (and i wasnt sick, though it was close there a few times) so wow was it steep, and i mean steep, and we walked 2400 ish feet up, the views were beautiful, the snow dangerous and the goats were graceful. Wait yes dangerous snow! So when we got to the almost top to start our vertical climp up the zugspitz, thats right, the tallest moutain in germany which we had to start from Austria (wow) we realise we had no way of safely getting to the cart things so we had to walk, more like trek down. So, hiking up snow is dangerous, hiking down snow? Whole other ball park, deathly! And i not only slipped once, but twice, into rocks, painful jaged rocks, and wow snow doesnt half graze, it looks soft but thats a lie! So after this horribly painful experience, i didnt cry, i just wanted off this mountain, and i stormed the rest of the way down (my knees) but 8 hours later i realised i hate hiking and no one will ever make me do it again xD moral, never go vertical when horizontal is an option. Ciao for now x

Nuremberg: Blue night (how embarissing)

Ok so i love germany xD its beautiful and its bit like I've moved to wales :p you cant take the heart out of, well, however the phrase goes :) im gonna be trying this sport where you extreme hike with wall wires? Ill have to re ask but what a brilliant opportunity! Thinking i might try my luck at sky diving (I've been inspired) i"ll keep you posted on that :)

Ok so i was helping with (watching) dinner and jen was telling me about this special chilli that they'd driven an hour away especially to get and it smelt wonderful. I was pretty nervous about meeting Jens mum and eating together but i had a beer for courage (so delicious) and everyone was super friendly when i grabbed the special chilli when disaster struck,i opened the pot and the chilli emptyed all over my plate, the table, how embarissing! Luckily they found it amusing but trust my luck :p

The next night was The Blue Night in Nuremberg, which happens every year and its a beautiful light show spread all over the town, it lights up the castle in paintings and there was a tourch (called lady liberty) with gold fire and bratwurst sandwiches with mustard.it was spectacular :) luckily kevins a bit of a photographer and since my pictures dont do it justice I'll be posting his :) so anyway ciao for now x

Ansbach: workaway

Hey sorry for the slow updates! The pub crawl was amazing, i felt like i was in an underground bar in berlin! (Like in christopher and his kind) I was the  only one who turned up originally but then these german girls came and one was a navy officer! I was a.little bit in awe xD i sang kareoke and this girl who was also singing was so alto and amazing! she had a similer vibe to the main singer of 4 non blondes :) i got super drunk, made many friends and got lost twice on the way home but i got there :) i miss chippy lane! XD

My last day in prague (im telling this out of order) i went to this island type bank under the bridge and there was a lift to go down! Sat and watched the river and boats ans saw some art :) arranged my travel to germany xD omg german trains are amazing! So efficient! The famiky im staying with are amazing :) my view is of fields and forest, so beautiful, and they have thia wold hound like dog whos adorable :) ill take pictures,

Im going to do some site seeing in munich and the concentration camps but they wont be every day so my updates will be sporadic whilst in Ansbach, im right next to the American military base which is nostalgic.

Anyway off to walk Vishnu so ciao for now x

Prague: Photographs
