Krakow: Day 1 & 2 (talk about busy)

So I met these two girls from London in the new room I moved two and we were going to krakow too so we went to McCain McDonalds breakfast and they offered me child and being tired said yes before I remembered it was 8am and chips for breakfast?! And cola? Strange combo :p

But I arrived in krakow, no hitches and instantly joined a gang xD gang sounds weird but we went drinking and ate perogi and fell in love with ginger cordial (I am buying a ton of that to travel with its so yummy) and before I know it the London girls came over with a few of their friends and I've accidentally made a house party xD by that time it was 11pm and I haven't eaten since breakfast and I've already consumed a litre of ginger vodka and so sleep was needed. Unfortunately or fortunately in my drunken state I've signed to a hostel job site called workaway.info and signed up reservation to Auschwitz and agreed to go with these Singaporean girls to go at 7:30am the next day.

This I inconveniently forgot when I get a tap on the shoulder at 7:40 in the morning, instantly feeling awful and remembering my conversation with the toilet bowl last night but I said I'd go and I've never gotten dressed fast, under ten minutes is my one and only record :p and had to run to the bus station 15 minutes away. Forgot my water bottle but we got it!

So worth it. It's hard to explain but the survivor stories are so amazing and one was funny in his riskyness (he asked the ss officer if he was in the line for the gas chamber and the officer said 'we have no gas chamber' but he knew he was lieing! So crept past officers and guard dogs in the open and joined the work line! Then he dressed up at a ss soilder when he heard a raid was going on so he marched into a cinema in full gear and stopped the film and arrested his parents and brother and told Nazi he was arresting them and taking them to the vans and he took them to escape! I mean, how brave it that!

So I'm off for an early night to recover so ciao for now :) x
