Ok, so yesterday was pretty brilliant :p is its luxurious laziness. Headed off with great intentions of visiting the castle but found this beautiful park with peacocks, PEACOCKS! which btw, sound horrendous, like a fog horn. Had a little bit of a read, and realised 3 hours had passed me by. Time is a hard concept for me to grasp, and I've never had a sense of time :] walked a bit around the town, had some espresso, read some more. Ok you can see where this is going but i had the concerto to go to. No guilt!
Wow, btw, the use the term concerto lightly, one, it wasn't a piano lead but an organ, and two, there was only strings as accompaniment. The strings were magnificent, so controlled, however the organ was like a bucket of ice on a wonderful summers day. It was a mashup of keys xD but it was held in a catholic church, full of religious statues, stained glass and pews! which was where the audience where seated :p Got to talking with these american women who were lovely and commended me on my travels which was lovely. Yes, pictures are going up today so be aware xD I am awful, and the camera isnt of best quality but I found it on a train so there is that!
Now finding things is what Im good at, so ok, today I realised when signing up for a pub crawl, yay, that i was 2 pound short to get out money from the bank, and may have spent my last crown on cinnamon brazil nuts. ITS MY WEAKNESS! :] plus im british, once they had me in that shop trying all these different types i was hard pressed to by at least one thing. The cheapest thing. But it was so worth it :] the box had an angel!
The castle was amazing, like wow, and I even got to into the church and see some amazing views. What was hilarious is that this morning my mum told me to check the weather and me, being once again cocky and my mum being the oracle (i.e the map fiasco) it rained, it storms, thunder in the sky, the heavens opened up, etcetera. I was not ready for that rain, and god the smell! I felt I was in 1800s England before they fixed up the thames.
OH but finding things, so feeling a little downtrodden and getting lost but using my satnav for its great purpose, looking down, I see, a note....a 20 euro just lying there, the street, empty but for me, and the judging eyes of the shopkeepers but...YES! so, i ran straight for the hostel (thank you satnav) and bought a beer and well :P bring on the pub crawl. I wonder if its going to rain? xD anyway, ciao for now x
